a couple additional observations/ideas:
i met jacob at the tahlia birthday party and talked to him for a long time. i think he lives in the haight or something. as a last resort we could hunt him down and force him to tell us, but that takes the fun out of it.
eli mentions spring breakers, which means he's close to the marina. where else would 'young couples' on spring break hang out? i think the beach street ihop must be the one he's referring to. we could call all the motels around there and see if a lito picks up.
